Why get your tracks mastered?
Virtually all albums, even those recorded and mixed at the most expensive studios in the world by the best engineers, have been mastered.
Mastering is a finalisation process that creates professional sounding audio. If your music is for vinyl pressing, web distribution or CD manufacturing, mastering will improve the overall sound quality and professionalism of your music.
Using various EQ’s, compressors and limiters, the mastering engineer can expand the frequency range, bring life to your track, compensate for any inaccuracies in your mixing, studio, or monitors, add punch to the piece and bring the overall level to maximum to compete with bigger budget recordings.
Mastering will not make a bad track good, but can make a good track sound great and can turn a great track into a classic. It is especially important for music that is designed to be played on large sound systems such as those in clubs, venues or at festivals.
We can master single tracks, EP’s and/or albums for the web, CD or vinyl manufacture. For the web we deliver a full bandwidth master .wav file and an MP3. For CD we deliver an industry standard Red Book master for your manufacturer including ISRCs along with a PQ sheet as well as a Refernce (back up) copy for the label. This back up copy can be used for your master versions for the web, and also for other reproduction.
We can work from files received on any format - be it a data CD or files sent over the internet.
