We are thrilled to announce the eagerly-awaited digital release of Mr Bongo’s DANCA LOCA track, as used on the Bacardi ‘Island’ advert. The advert on youtube has had over 60k hits and counting…

The advert is currently showing in the following territories until the Spring, with rest of the world later this year: Puerto Rico, Germany, The Netherlands, South Africa, Canada, Greece, Denmark, Curacao, USA. The track will be available to buy on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, Real/Rhapsody, Napster and specialist local digital retailers.

Mr Bongo Records was thrilled to be commissioned by Rainer Kelly to compose a bespoke piece of music for the brand-new worldwide Bacardi ‘Island City’ campaign. After many hours in the Mr Bongo/Can Can studio with a variety of wonderful artists from South America and beyond (and a little rum!), the end-result is a wonderful party track in its own right. Written by Mr Bongo’s own legendary producer ‘Sao Benitez’ the track features special guests inlcuding Incognito’s horn section and the untapped talent of singer/beatboxer Sammy Sarfas.

Slotting right in with Mr Bongo’s catalogue of cutting-edge world music the track is called ‘DANCA LOCA’. The campaign has already been launched in the USA and looks set to hit Europe early 2010. Mr Bongo are also looking forward to working with Bacardi on the digital and physical release of the single on the Mr Bongo Record label and the related promotional opportunities this synergy will create.
